Here you’ll find a quick overview of these touchscreen monitors and their features:
Let’s start with the Elo 1515L and the Elo 1715L. These two touchscreen monitors are actually in the same line of products, the Elo Series 1000. Their features are basically identical, with the only difference being that the Elo 1515L has a 15-inch screen while the Elo 1715L has a 17-inch one. Both touchscreen monitors are VESA mountable. Each touchscreen has two different types of touch technologies available to choose from, called AccuTouch and IntelliTouch respectively.
AccuTouch is a resistive touch-based technology that cynically designed to hold up against repeated contact with things like food, liquids, and anything else you might find in a restaurant environment. IntelliTouch, on the other hand, is meant for dry retail environments, and has a better optical quality than the AccuTouch. Which type of touch technology you choose should be based on the type of environment you intend to use the touchscreen in.
The other main Elo touchscreen monitor, the Elo 1529L, also uses these two touch technologies. At 15 inches, the Elo 1529L has everything that the Elo 1515L has, but it also has far more optional additional features for security and customer service. Possible security options include a biometric fingerprint reader and a magnetic card stripe reader, while other options include a barcode scanner and a rear-facing display for the customer.
Any of these three Elo touchscreen monitors would work well in a retail environment. The Elo 1515L is the most affordable entry-level touchscreen, and its cousin the Elo 1715L gives a bigger screen for a slightly higher price. The Elo 1529L is more expensive than the other two, but offers a host of other options to make up for it. No matter what business you’re in, one of these Elo touchscreen monitors is sure to meet your needs.
